Homemade jam is the best but, if you don't have much time at home, it's one of those things that sometimes goes into the "too hard" basket. It's my belief that what you can do within your circumstances is what matters. Breadmaker jam works for me, I can cook up 500ml in just over an hour, that works out to two small jars which serves us well.
The dwarf lime tree in our vegie garden is very productive at the moment. I spent maybe ten minutes slicing and half-skinning a pound (500g) of limes last night and today I have two yummy jars of fresh lime marmalade.
Whatever way you can put "from scratch" foods together is just fine. Be it set jam on the stove, a quick mix in the microwave oven or breadmaker, all of it is contributing to a better way of eating.

Sounds good, although I'm not clear about how breadmaker jam is different to normal jam. If it's easier - great idea!

ReplyDeletelime marmalade is a quick way to my heart. Slap it on nice and thick please :-)
ReplyDeleteMy little lime tree is starting to produce limes, and I love lime lime marmalade. I cant wait until I get enough to make a couple of jars.
